Technology for Social Change - Join Us!

Announcing the 2008 Grassroots Use of Technology Conference

On Saturday, June 28, 2008, OC is holding our ninth annual Grassroots Use of Technology conference! Information on presenting and sponsoring will soon be posted here.

The theme of this year's conference is "Connect, Communicate, and Collaborate" -- focusing on many of the new technologies and organizing tools that address the challenge that organizing groups face.

A highly motivated team of 19 organizers are planning this year's event, and additional volunteers based in Boston are welcome. For more information on volunteering, please contact Suren at (617) 720-6190.

Our Mission

Information and communication technologies can be powerful tools to promote change. Organizers' Collaborative believes that such power should be in the hands of the many, not just the few. We believe that affordable, easy-to-use, and accessible technology as well as the knowledge to use it is a basic right. If you think so too, then join us in our quest for a more equitable world.

Who are We?

The Organizers' Collaborative is a Boston-based organization established in 1999 to promote better use of technology by social change organizations throughout the US.

The Organizers' Collaborative is dedicated to advancing social change through the effective use of technology. We are particularly committed to low-cost and no-cost tools created in the spirit of Open Source. Since our founding, we have built the capacity of hundreds of grassroots organizations who are working for a better society. We welcome you to join us in our work!!!

Please consider supporting our work by becoming a member of OC.
